Programs & Services
There are numerous programs and services that are provided by A Better Day Homecare. Each program and service is specifically designed to address the needs of every consumer. The programs and services can be segmented into the following two catergories: At-Risk Youth, and Persons with Disabilities.
Foster Care Program
At A Better Day Homecare, our Foster Care Adoption Program works to provide a permanent home for children in need of a family. We are actively seeking families that are open to accepting sibling groups, school-age children, and teenagers who are in need of loving homes. Our program is committed to providing children in care with a safe and stable environment, which can potentially last a lifetime through adoption.
Behavioral Analysis
Our Behavioral Analysis work with our consumers in regards to existing challenging behaviors. We provide assistance with individuals to learn new skills or enhance existing skills. We also work very closely with parents, family members, caregivers, and staff to improve the effectiveness of the program.
We also partner with community organizations to connect families with the resources they need to complete their case plan. Those resources may include assistance with parenting skills, health and nutrition, child development, and education.
Residential Habilitation / Group Homes
We provide round the clock supervision while providing specific training activities that assist individuals with behavioral disorders. This service follows a detailed, formal implementation plan that's developed to outline the consumer's level of care and their individual goals.
Our staff have been thoroughly trained to provide 24 hour care. Additionally, the services focus on personal hygiene skills, homemaking, food preparation, and developing social skills.
A Better Day Homecare is targeting neighborhoods in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Orange County, Florida to establish these group homes.
Supported Living Coach
Independent living can be one of life’s greatest achievements, and assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can be one of the life’s greatest rewards. A Better Day Homecare’s Supported Living program assists persons with disabilities in living independently and provides opportunities to help them shape the direction of their lives. Through the program, clients receive assistance with their personal finances, meal prep, and household chores among other things. The client acquires both adaptive and social skills that are highly relevant to independent living.
Transportation
A Better Day Homecare specializes in providing safe and reliable non-emergency medical transportation, with highly skilled staff that’s ready to assist you and your loved ones at a moment’s notice.
Our staff are trained to provide invaluable assistance with ambulation, mobility, and transferring. Our drivers are also CPR and First Aid certified to further assist our clients in the event of a medical emergency.
Primarily serving Miami-Dade and Broward County, our vehicles are equipped to transport clients in a wheelchair, or a gurney. Whether it’s a round trip visit to a medical appointment, or a hospital discharge, our frequently inspected vehicles can accommodate all of your non-emergency medical transportation needs.
